This Dutch Stoel clock (English translation-"Stool") was so named because the bracket on which it stands with little knobby feet looks like a small stool. It is an authentic reproduction of a mid-Eighteenth Century design. The dial is particularly stunning with its traditionally Dutch hand-painted vignette.

The movement is German-made and strikes the hour and half hour on brass bells.
