This stunning solid wood straight waist case is finished in classic oak and
offers many features such as a beautiful shell crown ornament that decorates the
double cascading bonnet crown. In addition, burl panels decorate the crown, oval
waist door and base panel, while the shell motif is proportionally carried
throughout the entire clock. Gracefully sculptured and fluted half turned
columns decorate the hood and waist while beveled glass is found on the side
panels and lockable waist door.
The dial has applied brass Arabic numerals with
an antique moon disk motif and is decorated with shell corner spandrels. A
delicate fleur-de-lis center design on the dial is duplicated on the center disk
of the polished pendulum bob with a full harp.
The brass 8-day cable driven
movement offers the three most renowned clock melodies, Westminster, Whittington
and St. Michael. The movement features a Graham anchor, second hand and
automatic night shutoff.
